Bismuth(III) oxide / Bismuth trioxide

Uses: 

Making sparkle effect:

1. As a weak oxidising agent. Bismuth trioxide reacts with the magnesium-aluminium alloy powder to reduce the residue;

2. As a light screen. Bismuth trioxide absorbs the polychromatic light to ensure the brightness of the light colour. For example, white flash, green flash, gold flash, red flash and others all add a small amount of bismuth trioxide.

Making the burstling noise effects: Bismuth trioxide acts as an oxidant in the aluminium thermal reaction. The reaction is as follows: Bi₂O₃ + Al₃Mg₄ → Bi + Al₂O₃ + MgO
